School Field Trip

I had the pleasure of accompanying HJ on his school field trip. We went to a local pumpkin patch and had a hay ride where we saw cows and the highlight bulls! We stopped at a pumpkin field and picked out pumpkins. I was responsible for HJ and his best bud Alex and their mission was to find the two biggest pumpkins in the patch (which I think they did!) I had to carry these heavy squash x2 back to the hayride and then lug them to the car! They were HEAVY but the boys were so happy! It was a bitter sweet time, knowing HJ will not be at his school much longer. He will so miss his friends there, especially Alex! They are best buds. I took some pics of them together and wanted more but my camera died well before the field trip ended! I am so glad I got to go!

Cookies, Hippos, & Mickey D's

Today was a fun day at home for the most part. I baked some chocolate chip cookies and let the kids decorate them with icing and Halloween sprinkles. They both had a ball doing that. HJ gets so into where each sprinkle should go. CJ doesn't care, she just wants to get it on as fast as she can so she can get to the eating. I don't know where HJ came from sometimes, as he took 1 bite and announced he was done as he does with most baked goods. CJ though, is a girl after my own heart. She ate all of her cookie up and wanted more! That is my girl!!!
We also have a new game at our house which is a hit. Hungry, Hungry, Hippos. Both kids love it, especially HJ. He has his father's competitive streak and is all out to win where CJ just thinks the whole thing is funny and is more concerned with making sure if she gets a ball it makes it to the little ball well before she goes for more balls. They are cute to watch and are amused for quite awhile playing it.
For dinner tonight, we met a dear friend of mine and her daughter Mara. Mara and HJ are 2 days apart and have been playing together since they were 3 months old. They had a ball eating chicken nuggets and playing on the fun playground and the fun video games. HJ especially loved playing the air hockey game there. I got to sit and talk to Jen while the kids were entertained with all the fun!

Feeling Better

Well HJ is so much better today! I kept him home from school so he could rest and recover. He has a lot more energy and definately has his appetite back! He is in a great mood too! It is back to normal craziness at our house with both kids running on high energy!

Another Sick Day

Well HJ has been very pitiful all day. It is so obvious he does not feel good. It is breaking my heart! He woke up in good spirits but right after eating a few bites of breakfast he got sick all over the couch and rug. That meant it was time to break out the handy steam cleaner!!! All that turned into a project because we didn't have the right cleaner and KJ had to take the whole thing apart and clean it too.
HJ spent the whole day laying around wherever he is, be it on the floor or in Mommy and Daddy's bed. He has been pitiful but cute!
In other news, when KJ went to the store to buy cleaner, he bought us a new vacuum. We have central vac in the house we are in now but our new house does not have that. After much research and borrowing our neighbors Dyson vac we decided on the Dyson. When I borrowed Jamie's Dyson I was absolutely disgusted and amazed in all the stuff the Dyson sucked up even after vacuuming with the central vac. I have to say it is an amazing vacuum if you want to see all the stuff you have been living with!

Sick Day Saturday!

The end of the day finds the kids cuddled in a chair watching TV.

Well we started our Saturday off really well. We had a slow morning. CJ played in her kitchen and vaccumed the kitchen. HJr played games with Daddy.
THEN we went to get KJ and HJ's haircut. While we were there HJ started crying that his stomach was hurting and just wanted to be held. This is NOT normal behavior for him as he loves to get his hair cut and play with all the toys there. So we left as soon as KJ got his haircut and did not get HJ's haircut. As we were walking out to the car, HJ started really crying hard that his stomach hurt and then promply threw up all over the parking lot and himself.
Thankfully, it was not in the car or the barber shop!!!!!
I ran into a store and bought him a new shirt to wear home and KJ cleaned him up. He has had diarrhea for the rest of the day but no more throw up!!! He is not at all hungry though. Poor buddy! This evening CJ has started having diarrhea. So the stomach bug is making the rounds at our house. Stay far away from us for now!

Spiders and Bugs... Oh my!

CJ is loving getting to wear all her fall clothes. She was super excited to wear her spider outfit today, complete with a matching spider bow! She is to cute, I just had to get some pics! The kids are getting excited about Halloween even though we aren't sure where we will be trick or treating yet!!!

READY FOR FALL!

This was too cute! I just had to share!
I think CJ is ready for fall. She came down this evening from playing upstairs with a toboggan on her head and a headband hair bow around her neck. She said "Mommy it is getting cold outside, I need a hat."
It IS feeling a little cooler out today than our typical 90 degrees! I think she is ready to break out the fall clothes (and so am I) Bring on the cooler weather!

Checking out their new home!!!

The first glimpse!

HJ checking out his new room!

CJ checking out her room!

Checking out the cool new playset! The tire swing is a hit!

HJ and CJ at the Rainforest Cafe!

Robbie and Gina took the kids and I to Nashville today to show them their new Nashville home! It was fun to watch them explore and check it all out. They don't seem to totally get that none of the stuff in the house is staying with the house and it will be our stuff in the house. I keep telling them that and I think it is sinking in for HJ. Their favorite part about the house seemed to be the playset in the back that is staying with the house! They also loved running around the yard. After checking out the house, we had lunch at HJ's new favorite restaurant: The Rainforest Cafe!
Thanks Oma and Opa for a fun trip to Nashville!

Our Nashville Home!

Barring anything going wrong with the home inspection, we now know where we will live in Nashville! We are under contract on a beautiful house in Nashville! It sits on 1.25 beautiful acres. We love the big, almost completely level yard! We also really like the floorplan of this house! The best part is we have a great guest room with its own bath! We would LOVE visitors anytime!
This is such an answer to prayers and I am humbled at how awesome our God is in answering prayers! This whole house hunting experience has taught me a lesson in patience and also in how faithful God is in taking care of us! Thank you to all of our friends and family for your prayers! We love you guys so much!

Fishing with Daddy and Opa

Today was Robbie's birthday and we celebrated by spending the afternoon and evening with them. After swimming some in our 90+ degree heat in October, HJ, Robbie, and KJ went fishing and managed to catch a catfish! HJ was very proud but would have nothing to do with touching the fish! It was fun to catch the three generations of Johnson men working together to catch and release a catfish!

Fun With Friends

We have been spending some time with friends lately (which we do a lot) and I have managed to bring my camera with me and remebered to use it to catch the kids having some fun with their friends!
